Our team here at Yahoo Life consists of editors and writers who’ve been scouting, testing, reviewing and recommending products for decades. From cookware and travel gear to style pieces and tech must-haves, making sure we’re turning you on to best stuff out there is what we’re all about. So when a big savings event like Amazon’s Spring Sale comes along, we rub our hands together in anticipation. To be honest, though, some of its deals just aren’t that great, and that’s when we put our expertise to the test and get digging to find the creme de la creme — both to share with you and to snag for ourselves.
With that in mind, some advice: If you’ve been curious about checking out this sale but aren’t sure what’s worth the money, take a peek at our carts — literally. A few members of our team have shared what Amazon Spring Sale deals they’re shopping. From a cult-favorite Maybelline mascara that’s down to just $8 to the new titanium Always Pan — yes, it’s available on Amazon! — that top chefs recommend, we’re putting our money where our mouths are with these recommendations.
What our editors are buying during Amazon’s Spring Sale
Shopping Manager Julia Webb, who was already an AirTag fan, is taking this deal as an opportunity to spread the love to her other pieces. And though you can’t put a price on peace of mind, especially when travelling, this is a really great price.
“I already have one AirTag for my checked luggage, but after using it constantly for several recent trips, I’m going to treat myself to this 4-pack so I can pop an AirTag into my personal item and carry-on bags,” Webb says. “I love being able to see exactly where my bags are via my iPhone’s Find My app — it makes my travel days a lot less stressful and hectic. I’m also going to snag a pack of AirTag holders so I can securely clip the trackers to my stuff.”

This mascara is our Gifting Editor Amanda Garrity’s favorite, all the more so now that she can snag it for just $8. The shade variety is also pretty impressive — a feature that first drew her to the product.
“I recently made the switch to brown mascara — it’s a big deal, I know,” Garrity says. “The brown is a bit more understated than black, plus, it better complements my pale complexion and blue eyes. I’ll defintely be leaning into the natural look come summer, so I’m taking advantage of the Spring Sale savings (almost 40%, aka the best price we’ve seen in some time!) to grab another tube to last me through the warm-weather months.”
If you’ve ever struggled to remove that baked-on grime from your skillets after searing a steak, or find yourself always having to leave your sheet pans to soak, the cult-favorite Dawn Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray may be just what you need — and Garrity’s a believer.
“Once you use Dawn Powerwash, you’ll never go back,” she declares. “I’ve been using this kitchen workhorse for the last three years to wash dishes, remove grease stains and clean grill grates, among other things. And since I’m trying my best to only buy things that I actually need during Amazon’s sale, I’m going to snatch up this four-pack, which comes out to less than $3 a bottle. I recently picked up a refill for nearly $5 during a Target run, so this is quite the steal.”

Trending Writer Ellie Conley loves to cook, so when she started reorganizing her kitchen, she wanted to find a way to make her spices more easily accessible and aesthetically pleasing. So, this set was a no-brainer.
“All of our spices have a place to go, but now I want to take things to professional organizer-level and put them all in uniform glass jars with labels,” she says. “I like that these ones are glass, so they’re dishwasher-friendly if I want to swap in a different spice at some point. I also like that they come with labels.”

I’ve been writing about travel gear for years, and this portable luggage scale has been one of my most prized (and used) travel possessions for almost a decade. It’s so accurate and handy that I’ve decided to buy one for my best friend who, like me, is a chronic overpacker and needs a solution to keep him from constant airport embarrassment. This little gadget gives you a reading on your suitcase’s weight in seconds and, based on the many times I’ve used mine, it always matches up with the weight at the airport check-in counter.

Senior Home & Garden Editor Jessica Dodell-Feder learned of this hat rack from the pros. She immediately got a “head” start and snapped up a pair of them for just $12.
“Spring cleaning season is upon us, so we home editors have been interviewing professional organizers to find their favorite storage solutions for every room in the house,” she explains. “We recently rounded up the best closet organizers, and I thought this baseball cap stand was a genius find. It holds hats by the brim so they don’t get crushed and is much neater than tossing caps on the nearest surface at the end of the day (which is what my husband usually does!).”

Another of Dodell-Feder’s finds is a professional-approved must-have for those who want to spruce up their gardening-tool arsenal for spring.
“I just wrote a story about how to get your yard looking stunning for spring, and one of the professional gardeners I spoke to recommended this trowel,” she says. “With its wood handle and leather loop, it looks like something you’d find hanging from the potting shed of an English cottage … for just $11. It’s practical, too: Our expert told me wood handles are more reliable than plastic or squishy rubber, which can melt in the sun. And the stainless steel head won’t rust or corrode.”

There’s no recommendation more convincing than one from a repeat customer. Deputy Editor Izabella Zaydenberg is using Amazon’s Spring Sale as an opportunity to load up on one of her go-tos, which happens to be over 50% off!
“This would be my fourth repurchase of these toner pads, which I think is the most times I’ve ever shelled out for a skin-care product,” Zaydenberg says. “For better or worse, I don’t think I can live without them.” Here’s why: “I almost restocked them a few days ago but decided to wait ’til the Spring Sale. Bad move; my blackheads (which these nearly eradicated) came back with a vengeance. It’s no wonder they’re an Amazon bestseller: Each pad gently exfoliates your skin with AHA lactic acid and BHA salicylic acid, leaving your skin truly ‘glass-like.’ Lesson learned: I’m never going without them again.”

Senior Deals Writer Chris McGraw is a Yeti super fan, but he’s been on the hunt for one that’s a bit easier to carry, and this bad boy those boxes and more.
“I love my Yeti coolers, but lugging a fully loaded 65-quart Tundra packed with ice and a week’s worth of food? That’s a younger man’s game,” he shares. “I’d rather not spend my camping or fishing trip laid up with a bad back. That’s why I’ve got my eye on the Roadie 60. It’s got rugged wheels that make it easy to drag down a dirt trail to my tent, and with a 60-quart capacity, it can handle nearly anything — including 98 cans or more than 60 pounds of ice. And right now it’s $90 off.”
Senior Commerce Editor Rory Halperin first learned how potent these are scent boosters are during a routine social call. Now, she’s following her nose straight to Amazon’s Spring Sale.
“I recently visited a friend’s apartment and the first thing I said was: ‘Wow, it smells so good in here!’ She showed me her Febreze Scent Booster, which looks similar to a Google Home device — so sleek and modern,” she gushes. “It plugs into the wall and wafts out one of more than a dozen available scents. You can also control how strong or light you want the smell to be. I’ll be picking one up for my own apartment while it’s over 30% off.”
High-end cookware usually comes at a premium price, even when on sale. When Our Place relaunching a titanium version of its viral Always Pan, many fans opted to wait for the price to drop a bit before taking the plunge. Senior Deals Writer Britt Ross was one of them.
“I have the popular Always Pan 2.0 (also on sale), but this sleek stainless steel beauty is calling my name,” the home cook says. “It’s ultra-durable (oven-safe up to 1,000° F!) and, like all of Our Place’s cookware, is made without “forever chemicals” for peace of mind. This skillet, however, also boasts an aluminum core for excellent heat conductivity, as well as a strong titanium interior. The handle doubles as a resting spot for an included wooden spatula, and it’s quite light (3.4 lbs.) compared to other metal cookware. At nearly 40% off, it’s as low as I’ve ever seen it.”

As his title implies, Executive Tech Editor John Falcone is an expert on all things electronic. So, when he says a gadget is worth the investment, we listen.
“There are more than a dozen brands of smart plugs, all of which do a serviceable job of adding voice control to any average table lamp in your home. What sets this Kasa model apart is that it also monitors the electricity usage of the attached product,” he relates. “I’ve already used it to verify that my computer doesn’t pull down much power when it’s in hibernation mode, for instance. Even better, this model is compatible with all four major smart-home platforms — Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple and Samsung — so it’s pretty much universally compatible. Best of all, it’s currently on sale as a two-pack for less than $24.”

Senior Beauty Editor Jennifer Romolini has been in the game for 20 years, so when she gives a recommendation about a product she’s personally obsessed with, we listen. This is one of her latest faves and it’s not just cute as all get-out, it’s also super functional.
“I’m currently obsessed with this adorably kooky, wildly effective exoliating scrub from K-beauty brand Tonymoly,” she attests. “The handy roll-on is made of sea salt and black mud balm to gently clear out pores, remove excess sebum and pull the ick out of blackheads, giving your complexion more clarity overall. And now it’s a mere 10 bucks!”
Now that winter’s behind us, Style Writer Rebecca Carhart is pulling out the linen pants, and she’s had her eyes on these for a while.
“I live in linen pants in the spring and summer, so I plan on scooping up this sleek pair in multiple colors while they are marked down to just $25 a pop,” Carhart says. “The drawstring waist makes them comfy and forgiving — perfect for upcoming indulgent vacations. Plus, the breathable fabric will keep me cool when the temperatures rise.”

Snapping up a couple of these marks the end of a long quest for Senior Commerce Editor Kristin Granero.
“I’ve been on a hunt for natural deodorant that actually works for what feels like forever, and I think I’ve finally found it in Wild,” says a relieved Granero. “Not only does it keep me dry and fresh, but I like how the containers are reusable and there are a lot of good scents to choose from. And it’s now 25% off!”
